"I paint the feelings that are aroused by the experiences I encounter.  These include dreams and fears,  fantasies and desires ... as well as the wild imaginings and mysteries I perceive.  These experiences, combined with my feelings and skill are what I offer.  I trust my senses and take time to see and hear and feel and respond to what the universe offers me." Enroute to her ultimate career as a fine figurative artist, Millie has been active in many fields, directly and indirectly related to the visual arts, all the while honing her craft.  Even as an established artist, she still makes time to introduce children to the magic of visual art through her Creative Art classes, one of her many passions. Her large, vibrant Expressionist oils of women and animals emerge from a consciousness grounded in reality, yet free to take flight to mythological realms.  Millie's paintings convey motion.  As she says, "Art is the dance you do with life."  Her lush, figurative style unabashedly projects female power.  She with the flaming red hair and strong eyes who occupies the center of so many of her works is a composite fantasy - a force of nature.  Supremely confident and at ease with her sensuality, she is willing to share it, but only on her own terms. Apparent in Millie's figurative art is what can be referred to as the dance of myth and reality. "Paintings become friends," she says. "They draw you in." And so we add - "Let the dance begin!"
